About Us...
Every child and family is entitled to a happy and rewarding early years experience. Toddle In Group aims to provide an environment in which parents feel safe to leave their children and in which their children look forward to attending. Toddle In Group has been serving the community since 1995 as a playgroup and began to offer extended hours and sessions in 2003. It is Owned and Managed by Mother and Daughter, Bernadette and Kim. As a family run and orientated business we aim to offer your child the same security and stability as they would receive at home.
We are registered as a 58 place Group. Children will be given a keyperson who will pay particular attention to your needs as a family, trying to ensure that life at nursery resembles life at home. We respect parents as the first educators of their young children. The aim of the Group is to support your essential work not to supplant it.
We balance educational experiences and fun, with careful planning and monitoring. Your child’s key-person will extend and develop your child’s learning and play and you will have a wonderful learning journey folder to take with you when your child leaves for school. We pride ourselves on our community atmosphere, and aim to include our families as much as we can.
Our staff are trained to provide the highest quality care for your child. We offer trained and experienced carer’s with a variety of additional and specialist training. Through a carefully planned induction programme, we the proprietors are able to ensure that all staff are aware of, and work towards the high standards and ethos of the Group. We have very high staff retention, with our Manager having been with us for 20 years now! We keep our team fresh and up to date with training, and research, and support those trying to get into the field as students.
The Group is open 51 weeks a year and offers flexible attendance schedules. The day runs between 7.30am and 6pm, five days a week.
Throughout the day the children are offered a variety of learning and play experiences, both planned and spontaneous. Within a safe and stimulating environment children are encouraged to choose their activities during free play, thus developing their independence and self-esteem.
We love what we do, and we’re sure it shows! We look forward to working in partnership with you in the future!

About Us
Hi, my name is Kim and I am the Manager of our Nursery at Naphill and Walters Ash school. I am degree qualified and hold an EYPS. I have worked in Early years for 25 years, and became part Owner with my mum, Bernadette, in 2003. I moved to Buckinghamshire in 2006 and continued to commute to London to work in our Harrow nursery until 2020. I am a mum of 3 wonderful children aged 12, 12, and 5, and they have all been to my nurseries. My mantra is ‘If it isn’t good enough for my own children, it won’t be good enough for anybody else’s children’. I have had the honour of working with some incredible families over the years, and I’m looking forward to building up the same community here in Buckinghamshire.
We are delighted to introduce to you our new Nursery located in the annexe at Naphill and Walters Ash school in Buckinghamshire. We opened in January 2020 and after a turbulent start due to the pandemic we soon settled in to our rhythm, establishing ourselves as a well respected early years setting amongst the community and indeed professionals that we worked with locally. We are registered for up to 32 children under the age of 5. We are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm, term time only. Our Nursery has 2 main playrooms, a lovely enclosed garden and an invitation from the school to use their grounds at certain times of the day.
Throughout the day the children are offered a variety of learning and play experiences, both planned and spontaneous. Within a safe and stimulating environment children are encouraged to choose their activities during free play, thus developing their independence and self-esteem. Our unique curriculum written by us is based on the Early years Foundation stage and promotes our pedagogy. We are in the process of becoming a 'Hygge in the early years' accredited setting, and we promote a blend of Wanderlust (a nature based curriculum), The Curiosity Approach, and Learning through play. Our resources are chosen with care, and inspire little hands and curious minds to explore and learn.
We balance educational experiences and fun, with careful planning and monitoring. Your child’s key-person will extend and develop your child’s learning and play and you can see snippets of their day on our Famly app that supports a home and Nursery learning partnership. We pride ourselves on our community atmosphere, and aim to include our families as much as we can.
Our food is all home cooked on site, and will take into account all dietary requirements and allergies. Food is healthy and nutritious and will introduce children to seasonal ingredients and flavours from around the world.
